To use ACC for acupuncture, you’ll need an ACC claim number generated by a Doctor, Osteopath, Physiotherapist, Chiropractor, or another ACC provider.
Important:
- Please provide your acupuncturist with your ACC claim number (valid within the last 12 months), along with the injury type and location.
- ACC covers acupuncture for up to 12 weeks from the date of your first treatment.
- ACC only covers treatments directly related to your ACC-registered injury.
Health Insurance
If your health insurance covers acupuncture (in full or in part), please let us know. We can provide an official receipt for you to submit to your insurer for reimbursement of payments made to your acupuncturist.
